I guess i'll elaborate on the laugh.

rims dont cost 70 bux. If you want hubcabs then the local wal-mart should have you covered. If you want rims look at spending somehting more in the range of 1.5-2k USD. My rims are worth 4k, 18 enkei's.

Also the muffler for $30 will not make your car go zoom zoom in fact it will only make your car sound like shit. Suspension is spelt with a S not a T. Spoilers add a down force to the car, they dont help cars to go zoom zoom. kkthx.

well the reason why i want an engine swap is the car will sell much better, along with a better suspension as well. i am thinking about getting a new car when i get my income tax money in, which will be in about 7 months from now. my dream engine would be a 05 miata, but thats going a bit to far, but one under '00 will do nice. becasue of a new engine/suspension, the milage will be at 000000 and that will last a long time.

the rims, i think im going to spray paint mine, it will make them look better for sure. but then, i want wider tires, idk.

and the muffler, i wouldnt mind one, but i guess i ment an exhaust pipe extention, but that would be taking it toooooooo far. so if i were to do that, id rather get a new air intake system altogeather.

so is it commonplace to have suspension come along with engines nowadays?

Anyways, what I urge you to do is, sell the 323 AS IS. Get a better car.

Unless you're looking into modifying your 323 into a GTX of sorts, it's not going to be zoom zoom zoom.

Honestly don't see a reason to slap a '05 Miata engine in there.

i was talking to my cousin from texas today and he told me i should hang on to something like that and just sup it up. he said that there is no point of me selling the car witha new engine becasue it seems that i have a new car already, so its pointless.

so the only two choice i see is
a) sell it as is with what ever i get outta it/ income tax money coming in and get a good used rx7 (fc of course, or an fb will do)
b) keep it and sup it up for street.

i am strongly going with a) on this, its a good car for now and till i decide to get rid of it. and if i up keep it enough, and replace some things, then i will up the price a tad since the basic things are replaced and the buyer doesnt have to worry about them for quite a while.

me and a guy i know from school were disuccusing this and he said that if i were to get a good price, i would have to do the engine/trans (HOLY CRAP FORGET EVERYTHING, I MENT TRANSMISSION FOR MY LAST POST!!!!!!!!!!!! I AM AN IDIOT FOR SAYING SUSPENTION WHEN I MENT TRANS, FORGIVE ME WISE PEOPLE WHO READ THIS AND CRITISIZE ME, FOR I ALONE DESERVE IT WHOLE HEARTELY!!!!!!!!!!!) to get a good price, but another car enthusiest at my school said taht is half true, seeing how i was in "rice city" (orlando) 2 monts ago and people had well equiped imports for over 150000+ with high milage on them for sale in the auto mag i got from a gas station that i was walking through when some class mates of mine were playing midnight putt putt. i told him the situation and explained what i saw in the car mag, then he said that the first guy has a point, but what he said is half true.

so that is my whole side on this issue.

If money is tight, then just keep the car and say its just for practice on how to drive, get some skills, you know, the works.

The value of the car wont be too high, should expect around $1000 tops. And add that to however much income tax or whatever you get, do you think you can afford a FC? Dont they go for around 4 grand?

Dont work on this car though, replace what needs to be replaced but dont throw anymore money not needed into it because you are not going to get it back.

sigh... people that are selling their supped up cars in magazines for 150k+ are idiots. Who will pay that much for some ugly peice of shit when they can literally buy a house for that much. Seriously you will be more bling with two houses then a house and a car. People over price their cars way too often just because you do some work on your car doesnt mean it will raise the selling price so much. Unless you are doing all the work yourself then you are still losing money. Think about it, to rebuild a tranny it will cost upwards of 900-1600 depending on the tranny. No one will pay that much extra on a car with a rebuilt in it. It's likely they will only pay about 400-500 extra if you rebuilt the tranny which means you lose out on like 300-400 bux. THe people saying that getting the tranny fixed will up the price, and it will but it costs you more to do so.

This is coming from someone who works in a tranny shop, so take it how you will.
