Old guide

After a while, shifting points can be naturally determined.
But for ease, shift points can be figured out just by looking at the tachometer.
This is my list:

mr2/85 style:
5.5, 6, 6.5

mr-s style:
5, 5.5, 6

FC/s14Q style:
5, 6, redline

RX8/r34/s2000 Style:
6.5, 7, 7.5, 8

*Civic, Integra, R32 Style:
6.5, 7.5, 8

86, cappucino style:
8, 9, 10

*FD, Evo, sil80/180 Style:
6, 6.5, 7

Altezza/GDB Style:
6, 6.5, 7, 7

*The most common styles are the DC2 and RX7/evo style.

For the last gear (5th or 6th gear) Shifting is usually determined by speed.

These are the most common shifting speeds on each course but **keep in mind, later shifting is better than early shifting for the last gear.

Myogi: 160
Usui: 153
Akagi: 143
Akina: 145
Irohazaka: 115
Akina Snow: 133
Happo: 135
Shou: 106
Tsu: 130

- Usually, 6 gear cars shift 2-3 kms later than 5 gear.
- 86 and cappucino shift as late as 6 gear cars

*Also remember that early shifting is better than late shifting for the first 4 gears.

1. ummm no. generaly speaking these shift points are drawn from when the engine is producing hp and torque at a peak for the gears that are set up within the tranny. or that these are what work, dont argue

2. no. the same thing goes. when you rev a car until it cant go any further (in initial d) you will stop gaining speed. you limit the acceleration because you have reached the max speed of that gear

Simply put, this is what works, so don't argue about it.

If you really think that 11-11-11-11 is the way to go with Trueno, then be my guest.

You lose startup anyways to all but the capp.
