Unless you play a lot, I doubt you'll notice a difference.. V2 anyway, suspect it's about the same for V3.. >.<

i dunno, i prefer spirit over type R... feels more grippy and it goes well with my other main cars (S14Q, 180sx, S15)

Type R turns "better" (with B-tune spoiler)

They're pretty much the same performance-wise except Spirit gets start-up

They're good cars but they wheel lock often. I prefer Type-R over Spirit simply for aesthetic reasons. The Mazdaspeed silver 5-star wheels are amazing, especially on A and B-tunes, for dry or wet. B-tune's spoiler allows for sharper turn-in in exchange for a *little* instability on exit. A-tune spoiler gives great stability.

As for Spirit, I've only driven my brother's BT, but from what I see, they're pretty identical, with the Spirit having a bit of understeer. And I prefer stock spoiler over the ugly GTs.
