CITYBEAT - CITY OF CALGARY PRESS RELEASE

At 1935 hrs October 25, 2005, two cars racing southbound on
Deerfoot Trail at speeds estimated up to 150 Kilometres per
hour collided with two other motorists near Peigan Trail S.E.
Traffic was heavy while both vehicles were seen weaving from
lane to lane. Fortunately, no serious injuries resulted but
damage is estimated in excess of $40,000.00 to four
vehicles.

This collision is currently under investigation by CPS
members assigned to District #4.

The CPS requests that if any one who has information
regarding this incident to call District #4 at 273-1888 or
Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477.
