Lets talk about Edmonton =)

I wanna get some [serious] impressions of the city, after living there for 11 months and visiting probably 2-3 times a year for a week or two at a time.

Firstly, are there a lot more homeless people down in Eddy than Calgary? o.O Seemed like it to me.

Also, is it pretty ghetto there? I mean I was in Capilano and Bonnie Doon but still the whole city seemed so much more.. rougher around the edges I guess.

I like Calgary *snuggles with his city*

So please, teach me Edmontonians ^_^ For the point of something to do.

you spelt "there" wrong.

Also, to address some of your questions and points of view, a person would have to have lived in both cities for an adequte amount of time otherwise the view would be biasedly opinionated.

I like our river valley more than your river lol. I like it how our train goes underground. You don't have to stand in the cold to take the train downtown.

I think I like Calgary's freeways more than ours.

I think Capilano is like really really old edmonton. Yes the mall there is Ghetto but we have like nicer malls everywhere else.

The nice places are like Cherry Grove, St. Albert, Millwoods, Castle Downs, Lake District and the rivervalley. If you want something to do go have some dim sum like I always do when I'm in Calgary lol. Need a place to chill go to whyte ave. UA is always nice. Jasper is nice place too. Edmonton Centre is always good for a stroll indoors. We also have a car show on Feb last weekend.

There is always a nice rec centre like by twiliger. South Common is nice and so is the West side of Superstore on 137ave.

137ave? Madness O.O

The only thing i have against calgary is that ralph klien is from there and god i can't stand him

Posted by Rocky on Feb23, 04 3:05am:

haha Ralph Klein makes watching politics fun =D He's always screwing around with things, or having fun. Remember the news story when he got drunk and started throwing coins at the homeless people downtown? hahaha

And yeah, they're all like "Tonight's game is in Edmonton at the Rexall Centre" and I was like "wtf? that makes no sense". Pengrowth Saddledome ain't much better.. just add an 'is' somewhere in there and see how it sounds =P
