The Best Way To Improve! [SHARE]
I think everyone got the experiences from playing TA
How the heck I can go one sec faster and all that blah blah blah
My time increased 3 secs From 2'47'high , 2'44'mid [Tus IB] Evo V
What I did is played few games vs computer! but It is in WET
then I get back to DRY , I am like HOLY SH!T , this is much easier to turn!
Akina: From Noob [3'10+++] to 3'06'4xx Today! FD
Watch it over and over again from Vids to see how other pro turns! Then try it out on Bunta! Then do TA !
well I know you will get improve by playing over and over again! but you just don't have that money
so, share some of your Experiences? @_@
I was wondering.. will you get improve by playing legend of the streeet over and over again! Make it go up to like 4 STAR because that is what my friend [SE3P] Did, he doesn't like to race much except TA ! But he set some nice record ! <-- he doesn't play that much and never watch any Vid !!

legend of the streets will improve you greatly to a certain extent.
any type of playing would.
but i think the best way to improve would be by TAing, FINISHING your runs, probably recording some of your TAs and watching YOUR TAs comparing them with another vid and seeing the differrence.

I improve by racing someone faster than me. Simple as that. Knowing their times are faster than mine. I race them. Even they say "You always seem harder when ur racing me..."
Works for me.

My way is to work one course for a long set of TA's. Start by running it, probably will miss your best time by a good bit if you haven't played in a bit. Run it again, try some sections with more/less gas, that sorta thing. Improve a bit. Keep improving until you can get red's on your CP's consistently. And if I'm really running fast, I usually try something new on some corners or whatever to see how it works. Usually I fail, but then I just go and try to get to that point again with the same speed + time and do it right.
Ramble ramble. It's really what works for you. I think LotS is a major part of improvement, and everyone should beat it at least once before going onto TA. It gives you a bit of knowledge of all the courses in the game, helps improve your battle skills, and pushes/forces you to be faster. Bunta, not so much until you're a lot better.. Just because Bunta isn't necessarily "fair" haha. Insane straightaway speeds, and you take way bigger consequences if he hits you.
Vids help, but personally I can't gain a lot from it because I need to see how they work the gas/brake and the steering wheel. Go watch people in the arcade for the best possible results.
I'm pretty bad at ID, but what I've found in my Evo III is:
Happogahara D.IB - First section can make or break your time. Fly through it in fifth as hard as possible.. there is one corner that you should shift to 4 to take tho, cuz I haven't been able to make it in fifth yet >.<
Akagi D.UH - Full gas on all the uphill corners off the start. However, when you're turning, right about at the apex, ungas a bit, then re gas, to make sure you don't end up on the outside wall. I believe that's how Welay does it in his 2'26 vid.
Akina D.DH - Use the brake more =P Walls are bad on any course, but I find Akina one of the hardest places to recover if you hit em hard.
Iro D.DH - Taking the jumps at a slower speed is better than going faster and missing them. As well, try to identify which corners can be taken in 4th and which need a downshift to 3rd. That's how I do it anyway.

There's no such thing as an innate talent that overcomes repeated effort and practice... Do you understand Daiki, Sakai? Winning and losing is a matter of how experienced you are."
most of the course in Iro was in third in the straightaways and second on the hairpins and turns. well that is for my 180sx though.

lol. what rocky said reminded me of how nerdy i was. I looked at the map of Irohazaka. But that didnt help to much. It helps alot better to look at the map when ur playing. Its alot easier to determine which turns can be taken in what gear. I only take...3rd in a few. Some of them which i should i dont because i dont like to. Just try new things

umm nah i think 3rd will be okay, unless its a quick shift to 2nd. and 4th for most of the straightaways.

not many cars require going down to second ever, I think the r34 may be one of the few (I go down to 2nd on the understeer hairpin)
well i downshift to raise the rpms and it causes my car to slip, so i time it just right and i am able to get through the corner with ease. i takes timing for sure. well it just easy for me to do when i race.

Bringing it down to 2nd does make the car slip, however, it also makes your car less controllable through the corner, which might lead to a wall hit.
What's your current iro dh 180sx time may I ask?
