IMPACT!

The Good News? An Huge fucking Asteriod, only hits earth every 10 million years. The Bad News? Scientist gives it a 63.8% chance of hitting us on September 27 this year.

o1. One Second before impact. You can finally see the asriod with the naked eye. An enormous fireball etering the atmophere much faster than a bullet. The air underneath the rock compresses, heating up to 60 000 KELVIN-- 10 times hotter than the sun's surface, incinerating everything in its path.

o2. Moment of impact. The rock plows into Earth's figile crust. Chances are good it hits an unhibited place like Antartica, but lets say it hits Dodge City, Kansas. Vaporazing on impact, and killing everything in 200 miles. The blast is as powerful as 1 000 000 megatons of TNT, blowing half a billion of rock and soil in the air, some all the way up to space.

IMPACT! Part Two

o3. One second after Impact. The shockwave expands outward at the speed of light. Everything within 400 miles of impact, spontaneously combust. People lucky enough to live outside the blast zone, will see a blinding light.

o4. Two seconds after Impact. A wall of rock, soil and bits of debris rises up from the ground to the sky and spead outwards at thousands miles per hour. It actually moves faster than the speed of sound, so people won't hear a thing before being obliterated.

o5. One Minute after Impact. Everyhting is flattened and almost everything living within 600 miles of Dodge City is KILLED (ex. Denver, Alburquerque, Minneapolis, St. Paul, Kansas City, Little Rock, Dallas, San Antonio, Houston..and more) The ground behind the wave of desruction is scoured by 300mph winds.

too lazy to do the rest...my source? MAXIM
