2 Questions about the hachi.

1. in the 3rd stage where takumi jumps, theres something blue under his car...2 blue things on the bottom. Cept the SW20 dont have anything blue, just the 86. Anyone know what it is?

2. What kinda engine is his new engine?

For #1, I'm pretty sure its the lighting. I've seen battle stage like 20 times, and that part with the jumps happens to be my favorite scene so... From what I've taken outta it, that weird blue thing under Takumi's car is just a silvery thing lit up by the light.

It's kinda a weird lighting effect, if that's what it is... but when Kai looks in his mirror (or looks behind him?) and sees Takumi's car, the things are more of a grey than a radiant blue.

no the engine is not 2gens higher... its a racing engine, designed for race cars, usually these engines will be complete sux for takumi, as they would be devastaded after 5 races due to the amount of stress they accumulate. These engines are made to be lightweight and thus less durable like all race engines. the engine is able to go to 11 rpm which no other street car engine is made to do.
