I've seen the chinese VCD's for ID too, it's pretty good. Ranma dub's in chinese wasn't bad. usually the cantonese dubs are pretty good. Eng dubs lack feeling usually it's feels like the actors are over or underly expressing themselves.

I'd prefer to watch anime in it's native Japanese voice with ENG or chinese subs.

Watch Seed gundam, it's takes the best elements of the UC series and mashes them together.
