If you are pressing the gas before you turn ... big mistake. As unrealistic as the physics are in this game, you still have to abide by the basic rules of the street. Ease into the turn before touching the gas. Gas when you know there will be little to no contact of the outside wall when you clear the turn. This will enable you to keep acceleration at an optimum level, as wall raping just leaves you stunned.
All in all ... if you just keep everything clean, you should be running 3'15 at least.

yea, the physics of the games is pretty unrealistic, but thanks for the info. i thought my tactic was the same as the heel to toe tech, raising the rpm before entering the turn, so you can get more speed. if there was a clutch to the game, then that tech would be able to accomplish. but with the gas and brake, theres no point. its like an automatic car with the stick shift.
well, i cant check the irc this weekend, im going somewhere with my church. but when i come back ill check it out for the vids.
i thought i was going to play today, but i didnt. but i think next weekend i might. well thanks for your help. ill make another vid of my run when i get the chance to head over there again.

Keeping speed is just a matter of 5 in 4 out ... which is a higher level jutsu, and should not be attempted at such an early stage.
