that's kind of weird of them. from wat i know their history books are written in chinese. so i guess they just made the new ones in korean?

South Korean's are taught a minimum of 1000 chinese characters in school. I don't know about the history books, but, knowing only 1000 characters isn't going to cut it.

While South Korean's still use chinese characters in everyday life (newspapers), North Koreans have replaced many of the chinese characters (and other foreign words, such as ice cream), with their "Pure Korean."

Search up the North Korean, Juche Philosophy.

naw i take that back, it was dubed in japanese.

also, i came across something interesting when i looked up Jay Chow on the internet who played tak in this movie, his birthday is on the same day as mine, and he is seven years older than i am as well. i would never thougth someone, especially who is famous, to have the same bday as mine.
