How old is a FD and a RSX?
Fuck, no offence, but stop nut-hugging...
Your FD is second hand while your friend is driving a brand new RSX which isn't fucking 10 years old and a 4 seater.
And your car is Turbo 2.6L while the "55 less HP" car is 2.0L N/A... Not everyone is about figures, milage is the other factor too for people.

The back seats shouldn't have even been included, they're so small =P
Well whatever, IMO FD much better value than an RSX of either type. Probably the biggest thing in the RSX' favor is that chicks will prolly like it more XD

I agree with Kennedy. The FD could possibly even be third hand.
Plus, the RSX is much more practical as a daily driver, than an RX7 will ever be.

I drive a rust bucket of a 87' Prelude Si 2.0l auto...
BEAT THAT FUGGERS!
meh.
I would rather have a type s over an fd specially with Calgary's weather.
FD = Spring/Summer Car
RSX-S can be all year unless you drive like a moron

The FD was never meant as a practical car. It's a pure blooded, low priced sportscar. The suspension package on the R1 is better than anything the RSX could ever muster. The RSX is more of a Family car trying to be a sportscar, but it just can't cut it. Comparing an FD to an RSX is like comparing Chocolate to Shit.

low priced? are you kidding me? the reason why they didnt sell so well in north america is because they were so damn expensive. That's why the new RX8 is way cheaper.

Yes... Let's compare a R1(BEST of FD) to a BASE/Type-S RSX...
DC5R > FD's brakes+suspensions

lol okay okay fanboys lets all calm down =P
Considering that a car made in '93 is still good enough to incite debate as to whether or not it's *better* than a high end 2004 Acura shows that Mazda obviously did something right with the FD. Maybe the RSX has some better features... but that's obviously gonna happen after 11 years of development in car manufacturing.
I find that pretty respectable. RSX Type S is nice now, but will it be nearly as great in 5 years? Nah. 10 years? No chance. Yet FD has stood the test of time, and deserves props for it.

Well it's kinda both. The Prelude was basically a nice sporty touring coupe that showed off Honda's latest innovations. It was basically in the 2900 - 3200 lb weight department so it was a little on the heavy side. The Integra was quite a bit lighter than the Prelude and in my opinion wasnt quite as luxurious. The RSX now adays i think is splitting the gap between the lude and the integra. It's getting pretty refined but it's still relativly compact.
